Astrophotography Talk
04/10/2025
Malling Camera Club’s Speaker events for the 2025-2026 kicked off with a Zoom presentation by Max Dobres ARPS FRAS on Astro Photography.
The evening marked a change in approach for Malling Photo in that where previously Zoom events have been attended from home the Club has elected to now run such events cinema style at their home base Malling Village Hall. All the technical matters were tested in advance and the event was a great success allowing members to discuss the subject during the tea break and enjoy convivial company.
The presentation itself was enormously informative and demonstrated how keen photographers can develop from simple camera only images to full on guided telescopes combined with digital manipulation to produce stunning views of the universe. Max showed some truly amazing images as well as providing information on supporting apps and recommended equipment. Malling Camera and Photographic Club’s next Zoom meeting in the Hall is on November 11th and is titled ‘From The Concrete to The Abstract, More than it seems’.
