For our last formal meeting of the season, Malling welcomed back our old friend and acclaimed Photographer in the Emerald Isle Joe Houghton.
Joe gave us with his presentation on Street Photography covering equipment and technique, subject matter and confirmed the all important ‘get up and go’ for it attitude commitment.
An array of super images were seen sourced from Joe’s back catalogue and particularly his work in and around the city of Dublin itself.
Given the number of portraits involved Joe also advised on how to approach people in the street so as to reassure the subject and also to ensure personal safety.
This was a fascinating and informative evening which will have gone a long way to enthuse all those who harbour a desire to get on board with this subject.
Joe’s books are now available in leading web stores and are worthy of inspection and acquisition.
